Sorenson's Ranch is located in Koosharem, UT on a ranch with a working farm. Sorenson's creates positive opportunities for troubled youth by using a therapeutic approach with a strong educational emphasis.

Sorenson's Ranch helps troubled teens regain control of their lives. Struggling teens gain insight and life skills through education and our unique equine therapy program. The ranch helps teens with depression and behavioral problems.

  Who We Treat
Sorenson's Ranch treats teens with reactive attachment disorders, addictions, hopelessness, substance abuse and anxiety disorders. Teens can receive the help needed to overcome these issues through a therapeutic approach.
  Our Program
Sorenson's Ranch students are assisted with life skills and education. Sorenson's Ranch is accredited with the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. All therapy and clinical services are proviede under the supervision of a licensed mental health provider.
  Clinical Therapy
Sorenson's Ranch believes that clinical therapy along with teaching life skill helps troubled teens attain their life goals. Group therapy can include help for substance abuse, grief counseling and much more. Family therapy is also provided.
  Academics
Sorenson's Ranch believes that academics are important when helping at risk teens. Many teens come to Sorenson's in danger of not graduating. In many cases they leave with a diploma or are all the way caught up in school.
  Experiential Learning
Sorenson's Ranch has a wonderful outdoor program. Experiental learning teaches the troubled teens by doing rather than by talking or listening. This is another way that Sorenson's helps out of control teens recover from the problems they are having.
  Therapeutic Horse Program
Sorenson's Ranch has a wonderful therapeutic horse program. This program works! Students learn how to cope with issues through relationships with animals. The equine assisted psychotherapy program helps in many different ways.
  4-H Program
Sorenson's Ranch also participates in the 4-H program. This allows students to learn responsibility and participate in something that requires dedication and hard work. The 4-H program is very helpful in a therapeutic environment.
  Admissions
Sorenson's Ranch has open enrollment. Students are given an individual study course to help them progress at their own pace. This allows teachers to help students one on one and gives the student an opportunity to make up lost credits.
